Andy turned two months old on April 20. He is getting really big (14 lbs 4 oz, and 25 inches long at his two month check up). He has started to “talk” a lot and is very drooly. He is awake a lot during the day and sleeps for two 5-6 hour stretches at night. He smiled for the first time at me last week and he loves to watch Eden playing. He really likes it when Eden gets down next to him and talks to him.

We travelled to Pittsburgh and Akron this weekend and Andy was great (Eden was really good, too!). He slept pretty much the entire time in the car. He has also started to really use his pacifier. We upgraded to the nuk instead of the newborn pacifier that we were given at the hospital and it has been funny watching him figure out how to hold on to it.

We hope that you enjoy the pictures of our giant baby boy!

12 hour old Andy Andrew Benjamin Wolfe was born on Feb 20th at 7:42 pm. He was a sizeable 8 pounds and 21 inches! Meghan did a lot of hard work and is quite tired today. Painful contractions started around 9am, got some Nubane around 4pm, and started pushing about 6pm. He has been sleeping on and off now…which is about how his parents are sleeping too! More pictures are over on the photos page.

Wow! Words cannot describe how thankful we were this Christmas. It was such a joy to be able to have Eden here with us! She was the best Christmas gift we could have asked for.

Eden was spectacular over the holidays. We had five Christmases in 8 days, drove to Pittsburgh and back, traveled to West Lafayette twice and Eden slept in a strange bed 5 out of 10 nights. Through it all she entertained everyone around her and was as cute as ever!

I know that everyone was worried that Eden might not get completely spoiled at Christmas, but not to worry…she was! Between the five Christmases that she had she got about a gazillion toys and cute outfits and had constant attention from her adoring fans. She has become such a little diva. She pulls out her bag of tricks every time that she has an audience and people just ‘oohh’ and ‘ahhh’ and laugh at her like she is the cutest thing ever. I don’t think five minutes passed in the last two weeks during which someone didn’t say “She is so cute!” or “She’s the smartest baby!” Not that Ben and I don’t agree, but…wow. 🙂

We really appreciate everyone’s support and loved getting to introduce Eden to so many people. We hope that the holidays were wonderful for you as well!

Eden turned one on December 12. Ben and I made pancakes for breakfast which she gobbled up and then we had a small get together in West Lafayette with cake and presents. Eden loved being the center of attention and totally showed off for her guests. She is much more steady when walking now and cracks up when others mimic the sounds she makes.
As you can see, she was not shy about digging right into her cake! She started with the icing and had quite a bit of that then started in on the cake. She had so much fun that by 3:30 she was sound asleep. I’ve posted several pictures from the day…enjoy!

Here’s my attempt at a quick update. The flight to Amsterdam was uneventful and actually passed pretty quickly. We got to our hotel in Amsterdam (which was fabulous), took a nap and then ventured out into town. We were given a map at the hotel to nearby restaurants which made us pretty brave. We walked a very long way in our flip-flops and after circling the block several times found a cute little Italian restaurant. The food was great and our waiter spoke wonderful English and had visited to the US before. He told us that since it was getting late it would be best for us to take a bus. He assured us that we could just hop on the 198 route and take it to Station NS. We confidently went out (because we’re such world travelers) and found the bus stop. The ride was uneventful and the driver told us when to get off. The problem occurred when we got off the bus and realized we had no idea where we were or which direction our hotel was in. We walked a very long way aimlessly heading towards the one building that we recognized as being near our hotel from our shuttle ride from the airport. We laughed at ourselves the entire way which helped the walk go quickly.

The next day we got up bright and early and headed to the airport. To our surprise it turned out that 3 guys from the Boston group were on our flight and it was really nice to see familiar faces! The flight was almost 11 hours which was just WAY too long but I walked a lot and bothered Ben a lot so it wasn’t too horrible.

We got to the Monkey Valley Resort last night around 11:30. It was really dark and it was raining. Our house is very nice but I had no idea what the world outside looked like. Ben did say as we were going to sleep that the sound which I thought was a heater (in my dreams…the place was freezing!) was the ocean.

I was SHOCKED when I woke up this morning and looked out the window. We are practically IN the ocean! It’s beautiful even though it’s been cloudy and rainy today. We’re not exactly roughing it here and I’ve spent a very romantic morning by myself watching the rainbows, breaching whales and horseback riders on the beach from my balcony.

I’m including a couple of pictures of our ‘master suite’ and our view. I’ll work on getting some better pictures of the whales but with the clouds my pictures weren’t turning out. Ben will post our other pictures tonight.  We miss you all and appreciate your comments and emails!
